I know I'm not doing this often, writing about exibitions.. but this is one very special. If you live near Essen, go visit it. We are having a Semi this semester about it.. ^^~ so that's why i want to mention it. Acutally i haven't seen it, i will but then i can't tell you to go there, cause it's too late then.

I am also not that interested in buddhistic art such as statues etc. BUT this exibition impressed me very much.
So our Prof (Prof Lee-Kalisch) was the curator and in our first meeting, today she told us how they planned everyting and negotiated with the authorities. The first contact they made was actually in nov, 2002. wich is.. quite some time ago. It was interesting to hear how they organise such an exibition and.. how it works. Interesting is that all the exibits were standing in some of the tibetan cloisters for at least a few hundred years. They've never been to exibitions before or even seen by other people different than the tibetan. And that's why it's so very special and unique. You will not get a chance to see this amount of rare objects from tibetan culture again. Also if you like buddhistic art, GO visit it! *_*b adn even if not, go ^^;

So the main Site is here but actual info is here. The exibition will still be there till November, 26th.

(it has 1000 arms) I forgot the exact name ><; )

Excuse my poor english, it's late but i wanted to tell you this.
