Connichi 2009 resume

So the Connichi is already over. OHMAN it has been over a year since we've been to a Con here. I really missed it. <3


Although I AM VERY SAD I DID NOT MEET CERTAIN PEOPLE !! ;_; (*cough* kerimaya, sakuragreenleaf ;_; and and and.. a girl I chatted with since over a year but she was too shy to talk to me D: and and an... )

This time, we were only 4 people and took touichi with us in the car. So it was totally relaxed all the time. That has never happened before *laughs*

Unfortunately there weren't any programpoints I wanted to see but this way it was even more relaxed. :D We only saw the Gurren Lagann DOkumentary wich was pretty interesting but not as interesting as i though. NOW I want to see it AGAIN.

On friday and Saturday I wore the red contacts and therefore wasn't able to see anything but most of the time I was pretty glad to not see certain things. Then there were alot of interesting and good cosplays and of course alot of shit. And too much Hetalia and Kuroshitsuji for my liking but that was predictable. ^^; I was suprised that there were 2 other Amatsuki groups. Interesting.
And not many people recognized our cosplays but I was so happy that those few said they were so glad that they found us and we made them happy. That enlightened my days (happened every day with every cosplay :3) Nice. <3

Argh I actually dont have much to tell... not really. It was just nice and chilly.

We met a daddy and his girl who sat there with us and then we took a pic together. I was at that very moment spotting the other Amatsuki group XD



.. and then we took some pics together. :D



(but as far as I noticed, the Toki was pretty nice and Bonten was shy, the Kuchiha could not speak german and Ginshi was pretty cocky . O_O; I had a strange feeling. But as I said: toki was nice. So we have two versions of toki :3 I WAS SO HAPPY.

We also met another Eyeshield Group. They were pretty nice.
Actually there was a meeting from another group on SATURDAY but they were very shitty and unfriendly so we didn't take pics of them. (other cosplayer told us that too, that they were just shitty to them :/) BUT this group was awesome and somehow cute *V* very nice

They were pretty awesome. Nice posing~


First we were pretty impressed by the Tengu. THey were two actually. And the wings look freaking cool but the negative part was: they seemed so heavy that the cosplayer could not stand straight and all pics look pretty stupid ;_; Sad. BUT THE ORIYA ROCKS ;_;




elfelina wanted to go to the KKM meeting but it was canceled ;_; at east we met 2 cosplayer.

It's hard to believe that there were bad cosplays with so many pretty pictures *__* but I guess it's a very big convent? Convents in Sweden are kinda small and by the end of it all you've probably seen all the faces there is to see XD;;
I'm taking a shot in the dark here; the cosplay with the kimonos and the long, prettiful sleeves (I love long sleeves *-*) is from an anime called Amatsuki, yes? In a scale from 1-10, how much would you recommend it? :D
Awesome cosplay, pretty pictures and from the looks of it you had great weather :D From the looks of it it seems like it's time to look abroad for conventions! XP
*gasp* do you watch Hetalia? Or don't you like it?

Heyy~ Yeah it's a pretty big event here. I think it's the biggest in Germany (when my info is correct ^^;) But you meet all the same people on those cons, cause the cosplayworld is pretty small after all. YOu know alot of people. :)
(It sais last here there were 14000 visitors O_O)

Oh yes! It is. I mean it's amatsuki. I have to say I fell totally in love with the manga. (cause I love those historical japan stuff plus mythology etc) BUT if you ask me, the anime is a total fail. D: I would give it a 3 maximum. D: The cast is (in my opinion) no chosen so well although I love all the seiyuu but .. i dunno I was dissappointed (alot). okay, the anime version is in alot of cases not so good than a manga bt in this case I was very disappointed ;_; (plus it does not compare with the prettyness of the mangakas artwork at all)
So you CAN watch it but it's nothing special (since the end is ver open and without the mange it's pretty confusing) but the manga is also confusing but I love it nonetheless ;A;~
But on the otherhand I am very demanding with anime so.. maybe my thought about it is too hard XD

Yes, the weather is always nice there. ^^it was almost too hot for the cosplays *laughs*

I would love to go to conventions in other european contries but It seems there's no money for that XD Sad. But at least I had some japanese cons, that is enough for me :)

hmm.. Hetalia leaves me divided. I love the idea of gijinka (in every kind) BUT i don't like the anime and even more I don't like the fandom ^^ *laughs* :3 yes.. you can say it that way ^^v


I'm curious.. how many cons are there in sweden? :D how's the anime scene there? :D

Wua, 14000 visitors? That's insane...Uppcon, which is (or was...I'm not sure if it's gonna be held anymore *_*) the biggest anime/manga/japan-convention in Sweden had at its best 2000 visitors, give or take. It expanded really fast though. The first time I was there we were like 300-400 people attending but in a year and a half (two maybe) it grew to 2000 visitors...
Other than Uppcon there are many other smaller conventions held around the country but no convention goes above 500-600 visitors, I think.
Sweden's population is kinda small (9 millions) so I guess that's a lot XD;;;
Something classical Uppcon is the weather, it's the same kind of weather we have when we have a sport event outdoors for school...it's cloudy, gray, coldish and it threatens with rain all the while we stand in line, three blocks away from the main-entrance ^^;;;
There are many youths that are into anime here in the capital. Last year there was an evening course at the university called "anime and manga" and it filled the auditorium.

Oh, I was hoping that amatsuki would be a good anime series. I can be very picky with anime too...if it doesn't draw me in after two episodes I give up on it. Unless there's a seiyuu I like...then I'm willing to give it a chance :P

Noo~! You don't like it? What a shame. I'm inlove with the manga and the anime too. It's only five minutes (four..or maybe even three if you count out the OP and the ED) so I can easily fit it into my schedule and it's cute. Sadly, I don't have the time to get into a fandom the same way I used to but from what I've seen it's not too bad. What's so cool about it is that somehow it awoke my interest for history ^o^ Whenever there's a note about a historical event I have to look it up to see if it's true. And I watched National Geographic's WW2-week special religiously...there is so much I don't know :S

I guess there were a bit more than 15000 because the organisation was a bit clever. Lots of people visit cosn withouth tickets and they had the garden and a special hall for people without a ticket. Very nice I think but I don't think they counted them. But there are also lots of foreign visitors. Even japanese and that was very suprising *_*v
Maybe the german cons became a bit bigger because they are very central even for swiss and austrian people (and the language is not a problem) and stuf.. :D

But I have the impression that it's not that big but mostly because when you've been in the anime/manga/cosplay scene for quite some time, then you know the faces and people XD so it gets quite familiar :3

But you are propably right xD considering the population i guess Uppcon is quite big. ^^v

So with the youths and anime it's the same here. The TV shows Naruto (in a horrible cut-version plus horrible cast) and all asian/japanese is total hip. So the anime scene becomes bigger every year.

Actually I can't recommend any good anime cause I have not seen any in a while (besides Basara). I prefer reading manga at the moment. but also there's nothing new D: sorry . mhm dunno in japan 97ghost is quite popular but it was (although it has my fav seiyuu) not that interesting for me. ó__ò

yeah ^^; sorry. I cannot really explain why I don't like it. *laughs* maybe I'm aggrieved from Namikawas "Doitsuuu Doitsuu" in infinity loop while being that 30some minutes in the Animate stores XDD no.. that was a joke but I cannot explain it properly.

But yeah it's as I said, that I like the idea of gijinka and the history thing since I absolutely love history... I think it's nice that you can see those things in there and also that people start getting interested in history. But on the other hand it is said that an ANIME has to do the role of getting young people interested in mostly their own (and other contries) that is was saddens me.
(oh.. wait I forgot german-annoying fandom D: wich is pretty big ^^;)
God i hope this sounds at least 1% how i wanted it to be *laughs* XDDDD

Naah, here you gotta pay up to participate in the fun. Unless it's a smaller gathering somewhere where you basically sit in a group and draw/play games/talk. And don't get me started on the prices of items inside the convent. *shivers*

Yeah. If you hang around long enough you're doomed to recognize faces sooner or later ^^;;...I'm not sure if the anime scene here is getting reaaally big or if some channels really suck at picking out anime; here in Sweden they don't dub, they show original with subs and there's one channel that is airing an anime called "Piano" - that has got to be by far the most boring anime I have ever seen. It's about a girl that plays the piano, she has practice one or two times a week. There's a guy that she likes and she waves at him sometimes the rest of the time I'm not sure if anything even happens *__*
Oh! I tried to watch 07ghost too! I couldn't get through it though. I don't know why...I started to watch because Saiga has the lead role, but I wasn't hooked.

XDD Wow, when I read the "Doitsuu Doitsuu" part I heard it in his actual voice! But yeah, it is kinda sad that an anime is expected to do that job, but I guess it's better than nothing. Looking back I can honestly (although with slight embarrassment) say that I did not know there was a country called Prussia until very recently. While going through WW2 my teacher skipped that bit and God knows what else. So motivating kids to do their own research might be better than to just make them listen to what an over-worked teacher has to say. Hopefully they won't get hung up on all the fanservice ^^;;;

JA ;___; wobei ich sagen muss... die gruppe, die sich treffen wollte (also nich die, die wir da fotografiert hatten) waren soooo ASSI ;_; ich hab so geweint. weil die so dumm waren, aber glücklicherweise waren die dann total nett (also das musashi, kotarou und das HIruma, die andern waren glaub ich noch von der anderen gruppe odwer so)

blargh.. ich würd ja zu gern mal ein treffen machen D: aber derzeit haben wir so wenig zeit und die wenigen cons, da kommen dann immer nich alle (du z.b XD)
