Based on the book "the count of monte christo" but the setting of the anime is more futuristic and the style is very unique. They din't color it the traditional way, they just use patterns, wich makes it all more surreal.
I couldn't stop watching it, cause the characters really had an impact on me (not to mention the nice seiyuu). Also the storyline is really thrilling and not to mention sad.
Mhm yes, he is ^^~ he voices the count, wich means the main character besides Albert (Fukuyama) and.. he introduces every episode with a recap of the last in FRENCH *___*b i would have never imagined i could think that it sounds sexy @__@ but it does.
